Funding for interior design study usually comes from a few places.
School-based awards
Many colleges and design schools publish scholarships, assistantships or tuition waivers, sometimes tied to a portfolio review or a specific program. Check the program’s financial aid page and ask admissions what applies.
Professional organizations and foundations
Professional associations and their foundations, including ASID and IIDA, and many state and local chapters, offer student awards. Eligibility, amounts and deadlines change each year, so use the organization’s own page.
Federal and state aid
Degree-granting institutions may participate in federal aid programs. Start at Federal Student Aid. Not every certificate or noncredit program is eligible.
Employer and trade support
Manufacturers, showrooms and design firms sometimes support students. Treat any such offer as a separate arrangement with that organization.
In this directory
The Scholarships and funding page lists only named funding opportunities that schools publish, each with the page it comes from. We do not invent scholarships, and absence from the list does not mean a school offers none.
